Krochet Kids International

I have had the honor to work with one of the most dedicated and inspiring non-profits ever as a former intern of Krochet Kids International. Tonight I am beyond proud of these guys as the winners of the American Giving Award’s Community Builder’s Award …and $500,000.00 which will, be used to to impact countless lives.

If you haven’t heard about Krochet Kids International before, they are a non-profit based out of Costa Mesa, CA. The non-profit was started by three Spokane natives who took their passion for Crocheting and used it to impact the lives of women in Uganda (and, most recently, Peru!) and their communities. By teaching women to crochet/knit and then selling their wares in the US they are able to provide countless jobs and opportunities.

Not to mention their beanies are ADORABLE!

Check them out! Buy a hat. Change a life.

They say that you become like the people you surround yourself with, and if that be the case I am crossing my fingers to have it come true for days like today. I have been working away today helping my friend Moorea package and build some jewelry for her amazing business. Her jewelry is an absolute favorite of mine, combining simplicity with class and beauty. Check her out, drool over some luscious jewelry and read up on this amazing local Seattle artist who is leaving her mark on the world!
